Has anyone ever worked with these guys out of Virginia? I had a pal ask me about them…first I’d heard of ’em.

Know of anyone else selling reclaimed wood I could direct him to?
THanks!

As far as other sources of reclaimed wood FHB and all of the wood working mags have ads in them.
Also Woodfinders and do a search on Recycled wood under Specialties.

Just up the road. Good folks. Not cheap. I've bought heart pine from them a time or few. They bought chestnut from a house we were razing.

Mountain Lumber has premium and very interesting reclaimed products from around the world but if you a just interested in antique heart pine flooring call Jim Morgan at 1-800-OLD-WOOD. He is in Amherst Va. and is great but only does flooring and beams. Jay
I'll pass that along...thanks much! Anyone know of a place closer to Chicago for reclaimed hardwood? That would be a nice resource to have...
Hi Jay, welcome to BT. You might take a minute and fill in your personal profile. Click on your name to get there.
Thanks, I'll keep Jim's number. My interest was neither flooring nor beams.
Actually, I hate working heart pine, but occasionally have to get some lumber for a particular customer. I was doing a lot of work on an 18th cent house when I first went to Mountain Lumber, which was a lot closer (cheaper) than Amherst. They were very nice and found sticks big enough for my needs. We are in Richmond, Va. and have used mountain lumber quite extensively. They are great to work with. Their flooring is now squared and end matched. Another source is E. T. Moore in Richmond
