I would say which ever one is easiest to use and maintain. I have not yet looked into any of the styles you have mentioned. I figure I would use it most for the rooms in my house as well as some small projects like small furnature. I'll try to bone up on this subject so I can be better informed.

Painting walls in a room begs for an airless. basically pumping the paint out.
Furniture and such is more of an atomization type of both finish and application
The two can cross over with HVLP, but the fiddly bits of orifices and technique need to be adjusted to each task.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

I have a titan 400 airless, that was used to spray white lacquer/ clear on a house I just finished trimming out. 5 gallons of material later It looks much better than paint would have.ML
With the right tip I am sure it does. How many coats and cost per would be an issue. I like solid color lac. a lot, but doubt I'd do my trim with it.

Yeah cost is an issue but thats whats they wanted. NC lacquer is running $35/ gallon so between color and clear and thinner it get expensive real quick. think I would use water based material on my own house, due to the fumes.ML
I've had good luck waterbased and would consider that for sure.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

Any idea the difference between Titan 400, 440, 440i?

I ended up with this one. Shipping is included. Wish I would have gotten it with wheels.

I read Titan is a much smaller company but that Graco parts are everywhere.
Just a memory...long time ago.
Ok, I'm reading all over the internet and finally found one non-review site thank god. So the Graco Magnum 5 is priced for homeowners, is the same company the big paint companies use and has same pumps...Just lower quality pump but very reliable.https://www.bradthepainter.com/best-paint-sprayer/
I think it's worth buying one, useing when you need it...some down days when you don't want to return to the rental store only to pick it up the next day....
So for the cost of 3 days rental, you can own. No brainer.
Then plan to sell after using...should get half my money back? Sure.
Thanks for all the tips above. Love this forum...big letters. The other forums are all from 1989!
