Can anybody recommend an in-ground pool contractor for a residential job in the San Fernando valley?

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

Is that anywhere near Mission Viejo?
my brother just had one done ... and I got to test it a month ago ...
just beautiful.
The pool guy also hooked him up with brick layers for the rest of the patio.

It's on the opposite side of LA from Mission Viejo, maybe 70 - 80 miles, mostly on the 405 freeway thru town.

Thanks -- Pool guys do seem to range far and wide here. The one my wife found is from Palmdale, about as far away.

If U need the guys info ...
just drop me an email ...
I could swim in the pool just fine .. and drink beer in the hot tub ... so he was a quality guy as far as I could tell ....
the first time the pool bottom was too "sandy" ... my bro said it would hurt their feet after a whole day ... so the guys came back and scraped ....
the changed the color to the eye of my too picky sister in law ... so they were to come back after our visit to fix the color ... all under warrenty ..... not much bitching and moaning involved on either end.

..... not much bitching and moaning involved on either end. But they had to drain and fill the pool two more times.Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell'em "Certainly, I can!" Then get busy and find out how to do it. T. Roosevelt
what's yer point?
everyone can make mistakes ...
it's the people that stand behind their work that make all the difference.

I applaud the contractor for fixing the errors, or making the customer happy, whichever it was. Point was that a lot of water was wasted.

com'mon ... they got a whole freaking ocean out there ...
not like they can't make more?

A good question to ask the contractor to see if he is honest and/or knowledgable, is ask him how much deposit/down payment they require.
In california for pools, they can only ask for 2% or $200 which ever is LESS.
For every other type of job it is 10% or $1,000 which ever is LESS.
I can not tell you how many times I have talked to contractors who ask for more and then when confronted with it, act stupid, just deny it or think I am the idiot.
