Can anybody recommend a doorbell unit that the volume can be adjustable, is hardwired, and operates with two separate doorbell ringer buttons(front & back door)? It is for a senior citizen who lives independently that has difficulty hearing the one she has currently & would like the adaptation function of higher volume in the future if need be.

I recently installed a wireless unit for a senior on my block who doesn't hear so well anymore.
I can't tell you the brand, but it was a high end unit from the local home center, where you had options on the sound delivered and the volume. I put a chime on the 1st and 2nd floor, with a door bell on the front and back door. The unit could be set so she could tell which door bell was ringing (different sounds). I seem to remember the whole thing was about $80.
This particular woman uses hearing aids in both ears, and we adjusted the volume so she could hear it without the aids. so the volume could be set at a pretty high level.
I'm not even sure that hardwired units can be adjusted for volume, but I imagine that it would be possible to find one. And, there are units that have a flashing light
