I have a power wash that I am trying to use to clean the red brick outside of the house. The power wash has a resevior to put some cleaning agent in.
What chemical or cleaning agent is best for cleaning outside the red brick? Where can I purchase the cleaning agent or chemical?
Thank you,
Moataz.

Power washing brick is tricky. If done improperly, it can remove the glazing on the brick and damage it, weakening the structure. Low pressure if best, if you don't know your brick. Safest, is a garden hose and a stiff brush. TSP, if you need, but regular household detergent is best.
Most masonry cleaners that I'm familiar with would be applied with a brush or pump sprayer and then scrubbed in with a scurb brush. The pressure washer would thenbe used to spray the residue off. That resevoir is for detergent to remove oil type stains. With brick, you need to clean it first by scrubbing, then remove the residue.
What are you trying to remove? Mortar stains, age dirt, moss, paint? There's different cleaners for diferrent stains. If you have a local brick yard, they'll be able to sell you what you need.
