Just wondering is anyone has experience with a Kitchen Aid refrigerator. A salesperson suggested one yesterday. My hesitation is that a few years ago I bought a Kitchen Aid dishwasher and I hate it. I’m constantly having the hand wash things after they’ve gone through the cycle. A family member moved several years ago and the house they moved in to had the same dishwasher I have. They have the exact same issues with theirs so I know it’s not just me.

I have one, only problem was a relay that failed, of course while I was on vacation. Came home to a lot of garbage in the frig and freezer. Otherwise, works fine and we are happy with it.
I also have a KA dishwasher, again no problems if loaded correctly. When DW loads the dishes, sometimes things don't get clean, but that is cuz she piles thing on top of each other.
I don't think my problem is filling it too much. I live alone and I run the dishwasher sometimes everyday but certainly every other day. So it's never really full. I originally thought it might just be me until my family inherited the same one I have and they have the same problems. The GE refrigerator has some really nice options but I'm trying to figure out how I can splurge on the Wolf range and the KA refrigerator is a couple hundred dollars less. :) I have a GE now and I haven't had one problem with it. It's probably 14 years old.
We have both the DW and fridge from KA. Very minor issues- replaced a part or two in the icemaker, and I managed to pull the upper spray in the DW loose. Took a little looking to figure out what was going on once it stopped cleaning well. Snapped back into place and we were good to go.
The DW hasn't been a problem otherwise. We just finished up a 3-yr supply of Electrasol tablets that came free with it. Now we're using the Costco 'eco' dishwasher powder w/ pretty good results.
I like that the KA fridges, even the big (expensive) built-in ones are all Energy Star rated.
Whirlpool / Kenmore has always topped Consumer Reports ratings. I've had Kenmores for more than forty years (three of them) with no problems other than bad colors (Whoa! Avocado green? And those bell bottoms?).

DW and I bought an almond Whirlpool when we were first married and put it in our first house. We moved 10 years later and moved it to our current house. 5 years later we remodeled our kitchen and kept the fridge figuring that when it died we would replace it to match the rest of the new black appliances.
It is still running with zero service calls or parts replaced -- 26 years so far.
Observation: it is hard to type with one hand while knocking on wood with the other.
JimNever underestimate the value of a sharp pencil or good light.
WAG but a friend of mine had a bosch dw that he was never to happy with, it worked but not like it should. After about 4 years, he bought a new one , pulled the old and gave it to his sisster. Upon reinstall it was discovered something was screwed up in the original install, it worked amazingly after the reinstall. I wish i could tell you what, but due to his life choices we dont talk, all he told me was something was reversed. He also wasnt too happy about the whole thing.
hope you can swing that Wolf range, they look sweet.
They have the best warranty available (10 yrs?) IIRC on the expensive parts like the compressor and electronics and a lifetime warranty on the plastics. I was just looking at fridges and that is what the saleswoman was saying.
Don't bother with Maytag, their stuff has become very cheaply made. I just dumped a 7 year old wide by side. Stuff was always failing, inside doors popping off, shelf pins snapping, ice crusher could not crush the ice, freezer door rusting through where the ice/water came through, 4 recalls for stuff that never failed!
With dishwashers make sure the water is hot at the sink before you turn it on. You need 140 plus to work correctly. A few of the imported models heat the water to make sure. This is because most hook up to the cold side in Europe. Euro hot water in not truly potable.
Many would say don't bother but consider an extended warranty, my local guy has them for $100. I should have had one on that Maytag!
Kitchen Aid is a fair brand.
Many unit now have a display on the front. Not all show the internal temp, just the setting, check size of the water dispenser making sure you favourite cup or glass fits.
Make sure it will fit in your cabinet space too!
I'm hoping mine dies so I can get a new one. 20 years and has never been pulled out from the cabinet. I'll bet there are at least 3 dogs back there. :-)
This is a good choice, no compressor and here in Minnesota you only have to put ice in it half of the year:
