Hi, this is my first visit and posting. I am planning to renovate a kitchen and bathroom in my house and I am curious as to the average cost of hanging drywall including taping and mudding. I tried to find the answer on the web without success. I live in western Pennsylvania. I’d appreciate any input, thanks.

Across the state of PA costs can range 30%. What city do you live in?

Pittsburgh
As I understand it, labor rates in Pittsburgh are pretty high while materials are just below average. So, you can probably expect about $28/board installation and about $7/board (1/2" 4x8) materials. You can buy 4x12 sheets to offset some of that cost. You should probably expect a minimum charge from a pro.
For instance, my guy has a minimum charge of $400.Ask around locally. Look at the bulletin boards at the lumber yard, ask the salespeople, etc. Someone at church, work, etc. knows someone (that knows someone) that hangs drywall.Good Lucka.
Welcome aboard, Oddillo. You'll do everyone a favor if you'll put at least some info in your profile. Answers to lots of questions (particularly questions about costs) can vary widely across the country. Drywall costs here in San Jose are probably way different than in PA - lol.
Bring all your questions in here. There are some pretty sharp folks here and someone will have an answer - or point you in the right direction.

Or try the search function.
I would say in the midwest that you will end up between $1.00 and $ 4.00 per s.f.

Kit/baths drywall... what you will pay is a quoted job price... both rooms PITA rooms... depends on at least 20 factors
who does the demo, who frames it, how clean is it, ease of access, will u be living there, who cleans up, design, are you nice?, final finish, timeline...ect...
what you need are good plans...answers to alll the above questions... and someone willing to show up and do the work... just because you know it's $300-500 worth of material dont be shocked at 1000 to 3000 for labor not many will want the job... it really falls into that "side job slot for someone" and you might get lucky to find some guy who knows what he's doing and needs to make a truck note and do it for $500 or so... on a weekend and a few evenings... if you can work around his timeframe...
there will be no "sf price" rule to go by on this one I don't think

Thanks for the input. I thought I could find an average price per sheet of 4x8 drywall installation to help with the estimation. The search didn't turn up anything particularly useful in this instance. Thanks to everyone who's thinking of my question.
Remember most boarders or tapers do more in a day than just a kitchen and bathroom. Which means the boarder has to load and unload his tools, then maybe go to another job rather than wasting the day
The taper has to come several times between taping, also for a relatively short time. A lot of trades charge a minimum daily rate for something like that.
You cannot go on a per sqft basis. Its like going in a car dealership and ask: How much per pound
I would call up 2 or 3 drywall professionals to get a realistic estimate of costs. Small jobs like a kitchen or bath include small job costs. A kitchen might have soffitts or skylights that will add to the costs. In addition a kitchen or bath usually has a higher level of finish than a bedroom or a garage. This can all add to cost. Square ft. pricing doesn't work that well for remodling especially for kitchens.
