Has anyone had experience with remote door locks for the home? They are so common place and standard equipment on vehicles for years, why are they not the hottest thing (and standard equipment) for the home? Home centers may carry one or two styles but the major lock manufacturers do not seem to make or even offer them as an alternative.

The popularity of remote door locks for homes is growing, but challenges exist. While commonplace in vehicles, integrating them into homes faces hurdles like compatibility and security concerns. Though home centers offer limited options, major lock manufacturers may be cautious due to diverse door structures and homeowner preferences. As technology advances, we might see more widespread adoption of remote door locks, making them a standard feature for home security.
Was that 15 year old post begging for a reply?
I've used remote door locks at home, and they're pretty cool! It's strange they're not more widespread. Maybe it's because people are worried about security or tech issues, but I've had a good experience with mine. It's convenient not to fumble for keys all the time.
