I bought a lovely 16 year old house near Noosa. Queensland, Australia which has windows all around – mostly floor-to-ceiling. Unfortunately about half of them have plastic strips glued to the inside & outside of the glass to imitate mullions and create the image of many (about 700) window panes.
Does anyone know of a technique or solvent that will help remove these things? I’ve tried all the household products but its like they’re welded on.

maybe a careful appl, ication of a heat gun?
I'm sorry, I thought you wanted it done the right way.
If you use a heat gun be very careful. Spot heating the glass is most likely to break it. Scrape the bulk off with a razor amd then use conventionl solvents on the glue.
Start with paint thinner and work your way up through lacquer thinner and the more aggressive ME's.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just Roar!
Also you may find that vegetable cooking oil, WD-40, gasoline, or diesel may also give good results.
Avoid the heat gun as suggested!

I have removed miles of grilles off new windows when there is a manufacturer error.
Most are put on with a double faced tape that is easier to remove when cooled. I use a horse hoof trimmer and soapy water, it's a very slow process. Recently removed the grilles on 160 sash done 6 over 6, it took about 20 min per sash... do the math. BORING!!!! And no, it's not perfect as I did break 1 of those sashes.
