I want to know what I can use to repair a crack in a vinyl white window that will not be easy to detect when looked at but will hold the vinyl secure. No the part of the window is never opening after the repair. Should I use a white caulk? What type? Or is there another item you can refer to me?

Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

Melt it with a soldering iron and then pare it smooth with a razor blade. Sometimes a "borrowed" bit can be swiped from a flange edge to add filler to the repair.
HIJACK Alert Sphere, Did you receive the caulking tools , should have been there last Monday. If not I will trace them . Ok , back to the subject of this thread.
Thanks.

Been swamped. Meant to email ya, but my email program suxx so bad I been shying away from it. You should have a check right soon.
If the repair is just a matter of stabilizing the crack, the glues might help. PVC glue for pvc and maybe superglue (gel type) for vinyl. If the window is vinyl coated wood, such as Anderson, they will sell you a patching kit, which I have used successfully. Hope this helps.
Here in the Seattle area I've had the opportunity to pay for a few cracks or outright holes chipped out from my framing crews and the sup just has a guy come out who fixes just that, maybe from the manufacturer, but if memory serves it's the same guy I've had to pay to fix scratched/chipped porcelein [sp?] tubs. Would think your window rep would have a contact. Was pretty cheap I think, but yersterdays a fog, so last years almost non-existent....
It can be welded back together with a soldering gun. That sometimes leaves a burnt color scar that you would need to caulk over. There are PVC welding rods that can be melted in with the right tip on a heat gun too.
