I have several (about 8 or 10) loose tiles in my bathroom floor. These are small octagonal tiles, about 4″ across. Can anyone advise the best way of repairing these tiles, or refer me to a good web site that will tell me the best adhesive and methods for this repair job?
Thanks for your help.

Buy a grout saw...Lowes & HD have them...blue plastic handle, 1 inch long carbide blade (looks like small gravel)...cost about $5. Remove all the loose tiles and grout. Tap the tiles on the floor with the end of the plastic handle, loose tiles will sound hollow...remove them too. Clean the old grout off the tiles...chip it off, use coarse sandpaper, maybe a rasp. Clean the space where the tile will go, so it is smooth and deep enough to allow room for the tile and thinset. Mix some thinset, butter the back of the tiles, and set them in place...remove any squeezed out thinset before it sets...you have a couple of hours for this...if you wait til tomorrow to remove the excess thinset, use the grout saw...it will still come up pretty easily. Let the thinset set til tomorrow and grout.
Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell'em "Certainly, I can!" Then get busy and find out how to do it. T. Roosevelt
