My wife and I are trying to sell out house and move our kids back to where we grew up. I don’t just want to flip the house. I want to do the repair correctly so that the next person won’t have to repairs that we did. I am still trying to fix the things the people that we bought the house screwed up.
The problem that I am working on now is, we have a concrete pad that is next to the house that adjoins blacktop. I think the concrete is about 20 years old. The concrete is starting to delaminate on the side by the blacktop. There are also some larger cracks that arefairly deep. I am planing on cleaning these cracks out filling with backer rod or sand and caulking. I plan to do the same around between the concrete and blacktop. I am having problems locating any techniques of fixing the delamination shy of removing and repouring. The concrete can be brushed to firm and solid conrete with half egg size agregate. The delamination goes about 1.5 inches deep and slopes back up to grade. Does anyone know of the bst way to fill in this valley? I am also thinking of possibly skim coating the entire pad once the vallery is fixed. What do you think?
