I have a front entry door with right hand sidelight panel that is way overdue for replacement due to dry rot. I tried to extend the life a little with an epoxy repair it is beyond that now. I’d like to have it replaced now but live in South NH. Is this something that could be done now, in the cold? The house is unoccupied so there in no worry about comfort.

George, anything is possible no matter the time of year. A good install can take place in your climate. There are temp warning labels on parts used in the process that should be respected for the proper seal. In some cases it’s the product temperature that is the most important. Non solvent products can freeze way easier than solvent based. Same with curing times for solvent products getting extended.
Having all the parts ready for a decent day is what I would do. Plastic and vinyl are brittle in freezing temps so caution with those.
Of course a bad install can take place any time of year. If you have a good carpenter you know and trust, follow their recommendations.
