Requesting water heater connection ideas
Recently purchased an electric water heater for my remodel. I’d like to give the plumbing and wiring connections a “neat” installation. For instance, I’d like to maybe use the flexible braided hoses for the plumbing and attach them to wall mounted connections with some kind of trim. And maybe enclose the 10/2 cable between the WH and disconnect with some kind of jacketing. I’d appreciate any ideas on a choice of materials for creating something better than just a roughed-in appearance.
Note: I’ll be using CPVC behind the walls.
Thanks.

You could use flex conduit (metal or "watertight" plastic coated metal) for the electric.
I'm assuming you're talking about the gray colored tubing. I'll check it out.
Don't they make chrome sleeves and plates to finish out plumbing connections on the wall? I figured on screwing a nipple to an elbow in the wall, dress it out, and then attach the flexible connections.
Eye uze pipe to connet too WHs.
Eye doen tink he wantez it tu luk junky.
Sum peple preciate junk.
Whenever I'm doing plumbing and I need to install a fitting at a certain angle (such as an elbow at the 3 o'clock postition), I always run the risk of either not getting it tight enough, or going for one extra turn and tightening it too much in an effort to bring it around to the needed position. Is there a tip for making this easier to accomplish? I know swivels can help, but they aren't always an option.
Live right ... and use Teflon tape.
I stopped using the old white teflon tape and switched to the pink kind. I'm not sure what the difference is, but it seems to be more reliable.
OK, but be sure to hold your pinkie out when you lift your teacup!
Plus think of all the junk you can store inside the box!
