I’m a commercial architect, but I worked hands-on in residential remodeling through high school and college and then did some residential architecture during my intern years. Now I am generating plans for my parents house remodel and addition and am faced with the task of creating a good specification.
I’ve searched Amazon.com and found
b Minispec Residential Construction Specifications
by J. Hardy Leggin.
Has anyone read this book?
i Is it worth a read?
In your opinion, what constitutes a well-written and organized specification for residential construction? How would you guide an amateur such as myself to create one?
Thank you!
