Hello to All,
I am planning on replacing all the windows on the house and residing my cape cod style home built in 1958. The sheathing is 3/4″pine boards over 2×4 framing. I am planning on residing the house with clear cedar shingle. My question is: What is the best product to use to wrap the house? Currently the house is wrapped with tar paper.

Around here, that question is like asking what flavor ice cream is best.
Most guys will go for housewrap. I still use a lot of tar paper.

Tar paper.

Tar paper is correct for shingles.. house wraps react poorly with the tannins in cedar and have been known to fail..
Any thoughts about this stuff? http://homeslicker.com/products-hstypar.htmWe're thinking of using it when we reside our old house with beveled cedar this summer.
