In a few weeks I will be tearing off 12″ hardboard siding and replacing it with 8 1/4 Certain teed fiber cement siding. ( yes I know working with this siding will be difficult). I will be tearing off the siding and fiber board underneath down to the studs and covering the walls with OSB.My questions are: #1. Is 7/16 OSB adequate for 24″ stud spacing on a wall or go with a thicker OSB ? # 2. 15# felt or Tyvek under the siding? (I don’t mind paying for Tyvek but for a remodel is it worth it as it would be more difficult to use) #3 For the vertical trim on the corners of the house is preprimed 3/4″ x 4″ finger jointed redwood good to use here? #4 Any suggestions for a brand/type of air nailer for the siding? Thanks for any help.
