Restoration / Preservation reading list
I’m getting ready to start a new job as a Facilities Engineer for the Forest Service.
Part of my job will be the preservation / restoration of quite a few buildings, and structures constructed by the WPA during the great depression.
Any suggestions on books, I can read to get up to speed?

Good Luck
That's a pretty big deal. Are they not going to have some sort of architectural historian consulting on these projects?

George Nash's "Renovating Old Homes" (a Taunton publication I believe) is a good start that covers just about all the basics. Sounds like a great job. Good luck with it.
