I need to retrofit the roof over the cathedral ceiling in my master bedroom with some undershingle vent to avoid digging out buried vent holes that were covered with stucco.
Anybody install this before as a retrofit? The first time I saw this was an article in this month’s FHB.
Is a retrofit in a roof as straightforward as in the article? I’ve never seen this kind of repair on a roof before, and don’t want to take a risk of leaks. What kind of questions should I ask roofers when I am trying to get some estimates on the rework?
Does anyone in Southern California have any recommendations as to who could do this?

It don't sound like a good idea to me. I doubt it would be allowed in Florida.
