I’ve got about 6500 sq ft of standing seam metal roof that needs to be removed. The metal is less than 9 years old but there is some structural issues that require the roof to be removed. All the roofers I’ve spoken too want to cut off the old one which means they can’t be replaced. I’d rather not just take them to the scrap metal yard. Any thoughts?

If.....
....you can remove the roofing with no damage other than some screw holes, I'd certainly do so. Reuse it if you can otherwise someone else certainly can. I always salvage as much material as I can. Although probably not as much as Junkhound.
In my younger days I frequently saw steel roofing that had obviously been reused 3-4 times.
If it is really stand and seam and not a corrugated roof then there shouldn't be any fastener holes. There are different methods for locking the standing seam. Some are not easily unlocked, others are super easy. If the panels can be unlocked, then that would be the fastest method to remove the roof whether or not it is being saved. A roofer that does standing seam could look quickly and tell you if the material will be salvageable after unlocking the seams. I have a standing seam roof on part of my house. The seams where crimped in the feild. My painter dropped a screwdriver on the roof from 40 feet up and dinged a panel. I called the roofer and he said it would take him about 10 minutes to replace that panel - so I doubt it is very tough for someone who installs metal roofing regularly.
That's standing seam... auto correct..
