I concur.
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
Absolutely, but not knowing how basic you are intending to go, I add that you Must install drywall to the inside for fire resistance. Just about any foam is Bad when it comes to fire.
JOE,
GREETINGS AND WELCOME TO BREAKTIME.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY 'FRONT AND BACK'?
CHEERS

SOUNDS LIKE CELOTEX FOAMBOARD INSULATION.
HOW THICK ARE THE PIECES YOU ARE PLANNING ON USING?
doesn't hurt your vocal cords to be yelling all the time?

GREETINGS AND WELCOME TO BREAKTIME.
Gracious rez......I'm over in the far corner of the Tavern sittin' and relaxing with Mike and I hear you all the way out here......geeeez man.....
When you and Joe get through yellin' at each other, tell 'em to back the pine with drywall and a single thorough layer of tape and two of mud to stop any airmovement, I'd also pretreat (paint) the surface of the drywall with anything $5 a gallon or less to help seal it off and prevent mold.
Then strap it with something cheap.....if he has more time then $....rip strips from 3/4 OSB or scraps etc. Then put up the foam panels and tape the joints meticuously.
Ya'll have fun.....I'm headed back to my chair.......
AND WELCOME TO THE NEW GUY - Just having fun Joe.......glad you're here!

OK, you guys can stop jerking poor Joe around.
Joe, welcome to the internet. Since you are now communicating in a text medium instead of with your voice, there are some norms that people are used to.
One thing that is important is not typing in all capital letters.
Since you are reading instead of hearing the words, the way they are presented gives a cue to how they should be read in your head.
Consider this sentence:
Push the lever left then pull the assembly.
- This is a normal instruction
Push the lever LEFT then PULL the assembly.
- This is the same instruction, with emphasis on left and pull
PUSH THE LEVER LEFT THEN PULL THE ASSEMBLY.
- This sentance is all emphasis. When read internally, all that emphasis makes it seem like you are shouting. If you are not actually trying to shout, it just makes you seem like a dumb clod.
Now, you are new here, and I'm pretty sure that you are not a dumb clod... you had the good sense to post a question here after all!
So please, in the future help us understand you better and turn the CAPS LOCK back off on your keyboard.
Thanks!

Look, just send me to my drawer. This whole talking-to-you thing is like double punishment.
joe,
What Paul just said is true but if you want to type in capital letters we don't have a problem with it.
It's more important to get yer question out here so you can receive the info you need.
Cheers
Joe, as someone who has used foil faced insulation very successfuly in the past (not everyone agrees on its effectiveness, I hope this doesn't open up that area for ranting) there are two things to do. First do plan to sheetrock the interior but second strap the interior face with 1" strapping. That way you will take full advantage of the foils ability to reflect the radiant heat back into the building. So, it's foil faced insulation, strapping, sheetrock. You'll be pleased with the results.
"Write a wise saying and the world will remember you for ever." Anon.
Are you planning to put this on the interior or exterior? Either way is finding acceptance and will help you keep the heat where it belongs. Two entirely different projects of course.
