Was in HD yesterday and saw both some Dewalt reps and a Rigid rep in the tool coral. So I figure this might be a good chance to get the skinny on the Rigid mitre saw stand. He said he thinks the next batch that comes in will be at the $99 price. Because the stores reordered them when they were selling for that much, they need to finish filling those orders at the $99 price. He had no idea when the next batch is coming in though. Might be to good to be true, but you should keep your eyes peeled. BTW the Dewalt reps said they are introducing a 12v, 14v,and 18v impact drivers in the next couple of weeks.

I think DW already has a 12, 14, and 18 volt impact driver.
Just looked in my Tool Crib catalog, there they are!
I actually emailed Ridgid a few days ago about their miter saw stands. The said that they had just got their new shipment of stands in 2 weeks ago and that they should be getting them out to the stores now. Did not say what the price would be, but did say that the model # had change, but not the actual stand. I would like to know how everyone likes their stands now that they have had a few months to brake them in?

I've been using mine for a few weeks and I love it. Really like the lower one too, which I mounted my old 9" table saw on. Fold them up and roll them into the corner every night - takes less than a minute to set them back up in the morning. Like most great tools, I can't believe I got along so long without them.
Thanks for the info Jim. I am planning on buying one of these for myself as a father's day present. I think it will fit my needs pretty well.

Interesting! I also spoke to a HD tool dept. man in Milltown, NJ this morning and he told me they would be $199.00 the second time around. He said that the $99.00 original price was supposed to be a special deal when you purchased a sliding miter saw, but the ads got mixed up and the miter saw never got mentioned. HD decided to honor the ad as run at $99. Hey, it's a good deal at $199. He spoke of central purchasing and didn't know when they would get them, but they are definitely coming. Also E-mailed Ridgid a couple of weeks ago. They answered back that they are in production and will become available soon. Someone else posted last week that he had also e-mailed Ridgid and they told him that the new part number is AC9940. I hope it's coming soon!
good thing ya emailed them..I had a problem with my bandsaw and called 1-800-rigid...left out the "D" by mistake
