I realized that my nifty Ridgid saw didn’t come with the adjustable Rip fence. HD doesn’t seem to stock it, and the other brand I saw on the shelf was a little too wide. Does anyone know of a different brands fence that might fit?

i didn't realise anyone used those things.
with practice you can get a good straight cut by using your thumb as a guide on the saw base and fingers in the egde of the timber.
If hd has it in their " special order catalogue " they will send it by courier to your door , usually about a week for delivery or call ridged "tech support " to make sure it exists (1 -800 4 ridgid)
I've drilled holes in the plate of my DW circular saw so I can mount it to the underside of a piece of plywood and make a quick tablesaw in a pinch.
Maybe you can do the same to mount an extension.
Doesn't seem right, xxPaulCPxx, gets screwed by HD.

You mount that saw with screws or nut & bolt? Nails?
Just showing I'm paying attention. ;-)

drill 3/16" holes into corners of circular saw base
3/4" #10 round head Robertson screws times 4 into 3/4 ply
drop blade through plywood
wrap a piece of wire around trigger
flip plywood onto saw horses
screw scrap of ply for fence
use switch on power bar for on/ off
cut the few feet of needed baseboard, trim etc

That is a good possible solution if the fence isn't available.
I need to shave a 1.5" x 1/8" notch into a bunch of 2x6x20'ers. I was setting up my tablesaw, but was getting real nervous about launching a 2x6 missile if it got bound up on the blade.

1½" X 1/8" notch in 2X6?
Just pinch the edge of the sawplate and use your knuckle for a guide.
or C clamp a block to the plate.
If you ever have to make the same trim cut by hand in pine or hardwood?

I think I might just use a sharp chisel.
