Hi Folks, I used to be a member many years ago and am now rejoining. I am not a trade pro but spend my weekends remodeling our old house. I am hoping someone can answer a quick roofing question…. After removing a squirrel in our attic the exterminator closed the hole with flashing. Part of the flashing is fastened to the roof shingles in two spots with screws. I am concerned that it could lead to a leak. Would the application of a neoprene rubber roof flashing cement be a good safeguard measure? Thanks for your help.

Where exactly is this flashing located ?
Beside a chimney or some other place higher than the roof, (EG, sidewall of a dormer or similar.), or down at the edge of the roof ?
I would say your exterminator screwed up. There is no way they should put the water-tightness of your roof at risk. I'd call them right now. Then, if it leaks, send them the bill for the proper repairs.
