I was looking through a router bit catalogue last night and I saw a set of router bits the manufacturer says are designed for making interior/exterior
doors (1 3/8-1 3/4.) Has anyone used these type of bits before? Just curious.

Check out the FWW site and archives or, possibly the Tools section here. Most of us don't build doors, we just hang 'em.
If you're considering doing this on a production basis, buy a shaper.

I was thinking about making some for my own house. But also I was curious if anybody had used these bit before. I am curious if there any good or not.

Ron, those bits are best run on a shaper or router table, they need HP, and I wouldn't be using a 3hp router handheld.
Most entry doors are mortise and tenon, not just style and rail like cabinet doors, so be advised.
You may wish to use a loose tenon, or other re-enforcement to the style and rail cutters.

George,
I thought along the same lines as you. Ill probably end up buying the doors. I guess thats why they keep lowering the price on those bits. Thanks guys(you and BG71)I appreciate your help.

Building doors is very time consuming. Cheaper to buy them unless you are gonna make them out of exotic wood or quarter sawn lumber like oak, white oak, ash and etc.I mortice & tendon them and set the panels in with moulding that I make. There are other type of doors that would be easier though. If you are going to build them for yourself then go for it!
