I’ve screwed up. I routed for RCT weatherstripping using their special jamb grooving machine, the one that cuts a channel 1/8″ wide by 1/4″ deep at a 45 degree angle into the inside corner where the stop meets the jamb on my casement windows. There are a lot of places where I slipped and wobbled and let the machine ride up before I got the hang of it.
So, what I’d like to do is fill in my mistakes and re-do those areas. Is there a filler that would be neither harder nor softer than Douglas fir, so as not to influence the direction of the cutter? It would be painted over, but subject to some water because it’s outboard of the weatherstrip in many places.

2 part minwax or bondo...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Thanks -- I picked up a can of the two part Minwax on the lunch hour.

Hey, been looking for someone with real world experience with that machine (it's pricey) and the silicone weatherstrip that goes with it.....tell us more, please
We have a discussion of it going on in the "Tools" "What tool did you buy today" thread, starting with message #3378. Maybe this link will work:
