Nextel is just too expensive! and I don’t have a full time crew so there’s no one to “beep” at. I am probably going over to Sprint or maybe Verizon . My town has spotty reception and I’ve driven around my “turf” with both systems and Sprint is a bit better. Anyway I digress! Anybody know of a rugged phone ( ala the 530/730 Motorola’s for Nextel) that will work on Sprint or Verizon? Any other rugged hints or Nextel cheap plans would be helpful also.
Thanks

sprint has a "rough use" phone
sorry for the long address.
I have the sanyo phone that I believe is the same as that one only with out the heavy duty exterior which has lasted pretty good. It has a good battery life and has taken a lot of abuse.
after saying that. Sprint customer service has left a lot to be desired. I have had to call them more then a few times to have them take off bogus charges. On top of that calling them for any reason is always a royal pain. I'm not sure any other carrier is much different.
If I never had to deal with their customer service department I'd be happy with the reception/coverage and rates.
