Anybody got any old Ryobi 8″radial arm saws around.U know the one that had a recall for the motor coming of the carriage?! I have a dedicated spot for one in my shop that i use for dadoeing and a few other operations and after 20 years the bearings are finally going. Its not an heirloom tool but it does a good job for what i use it for and doesnt take a lot of space.

Have you tried new bearings? I go to philadelphia ball bearing co and have yet to beat them with supplying a replacement.
I think I have the bearings that will fit. Can ya caliper the I.D/O.D and thickness of an old one? Should be right behind the arbor flange and the colllet on the other end. MAY beable to read the side stamping of the existing bearing.
When I rebuilt my Ryobi Planer AH-115 I got a few extra bearings while I had the guy on the phone.
just looked TP 60022 is about a 5/8th ID and 1 1/8 od ( calipers are in the shop, these bearings are in the house)
Should just be two.
Send to Ryobi for the recall packaging, get the$75 and get a better saw 0r a SCMS. Ain't worth losing fingers when the carriage breaks and it come screaming across the table at ya.
It ain't mine. I had one. Sold it 20 yrs ago.
I do have a stock of bearings that replace many routers and other high RPM Universal moters. They are all pretty much the same.
My planer is from '85, and long since discontinued, but the bearings were used in Ryobi Routers and that same saw.....the saw end of the shaft was reduced to about 4,500-5,000 RPM IIRC, while the output shaft was still running 22,000 for router bits.
Or, I have forgotten it all, and am totally wrong, buthe bearings are the same none the less.
I still run the AH-115 mostly for the Jointer with the reallllllllllly long bed, for a 6" jointer...6' with the out rigger extended. The 12.5" planer w/2 speeds is sweet as well, but I 've pushed it really hard. Now, it is relegated to skip pass, and roughing out...being a 2 knife head and 2 speed feed. I follow the rough with a DW 13" 2 speed, and the knives are not sharpenable, so that is a deal breaker for me.
Whether that saw had a drop issue or not is beyond me, mine was a sweet little thang, I ganged it beside a Craftsman RAS as a end cutter., and inverted router. I actually miss it sometimes.
