    that's about what it's worth...

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming

About 15 months ago I went into HD looking for a cheap angle grinder. Happened on a display of Ridgid 1/2" hammer drill and an angle grinder for $49.98, complete with case, and grabbed it. Not "fine quality" but sufficient for my purposes. $20 for the drill alone (with no hammer feature) doesn't seem like an extraordinary deal.

$20 for 8.5 amps... could make for a cheapo "mixing drill" for thinset, etc.

Only thing about that is thinset and mortar manufacturers will specify the correct mixing RPM. Too fast or too slow can void a warantee.

Maybe, but with this I think you could get "close enough for government work"....:)

Haven't heard that expression in, I'm thinking, 38 years.

Hey now, Ridgid makes some good stuff. I see alot of their stuff on jobsites and I've liked everything of theirs that I've owned. I'm going to buy the drill and give you guys a tool review. Its a tough job.
