An opportunity just jumped in front of me to salvage a fair amount of soapstone counters in great shape from a building scheduled for demo. The problem is that it is a one shot deal- no running back for tools, and I am given minimal time to remove the material. Does anyone know what material was likely to have been used to join the slabs (in an old lab), and what tools I should make sure I have with me? It appears to be attached to the metal cabinets below by adhesive only. Any hints on removal technique?
Thanks
