Had to pick up some steel balls… so Sams isn’t far and it’s almost lunch… so for $3 you can get a slice of pizza and a drink and since it’s lunch there are usually some food samples to be had.. before we eat i cruise past the appliances and spot… GE side by side refrigerators ice & water in the door… Black for $516 and stainless for $769 stainless above range microwave/ventahoods $145 $125 in black… we go eat… and I’m think’n that can’t be right (6mo no interest from GE also) after Pizza… i go back and ask… is that the regular price? guy looks amazed say’n he purchased the Black one 3 months ago for $997… he checks… yep correct price but they only have 2 blacks and one stainless.. then they are gone…
same deal with the microwaves… 2 blacks 2 stainless… so.. lunch cost me just about $3k I needed them for my model units anyway i guess… 🙂
had to go back & grab the trailer but the subaru pulled through once again… took 2 minutes to get the credit card so i could get the zero interest plus they gave me another year membership at Sams…
now… I have to go visit the other local SAMS to see if i can find more… or see if Lowes will honor to match/beat the price by 10%
manager did tell me that I purchased them below cost… when i asked for a discount for a small ding in the side of one of the black ones

HA! Talk about steel balls! You got 'em. :-)
I enjoy hearing about deals like that, almost as much as finding them. Way to go!
Ya must be forgettin' your 'ol Papy's basic lessons ........
See a deal grab it...........no matter what?
Then DW can tell you when you are closing in on really old age that 'you better get rid of this stuff before you die'
I figured that was 10x more than you had ever paid for a refrigerator and even @ 50% off and below cost... I still wasn't "thrilled" but ...but even people who profess to live & die "GREEN" don't want a used refrigerator... that have a few ranges... good deal but not a "great" deal... but i was pleased with the $516 on the refrigerators..no matter how much you try to "teach folks" they don't want to buy a house with appliances and put them on a 30yr note... even after explaining how much they will have to earn to pay for that $2500 appliance package over the life of the loan... they still want them included...the old rule of sales is.... never educate your customer... either they already think they know more than you... or they won't believe you anyway... just sell em what they want and praise them for knowing it...p
