Hi everyone,
I helped my brother drive a sandpoint well in north central MN. Here the fact for the well people.
1. clay soil.
2. drove pipe approx 17′ found water, decided needed to drive deeper, drove to 22′
3. had no water. with lots of effort jacked well back to 18′, 19′ head after a few fittings added.
4. Once pulled back up to 18-19 feet you can feel/hear the sandy/rocky soil around the sandpoint.
5. hooked a 3/4 hp jetpump 1″ suction, 1″ discharge, should pump 6 gpm at 20′. and 6 gal pressure tank.
take 7-10 minutes to pump up to pressure. Holds prime for 7 days (weekend place). which tells me no suction leak.
So the questions are?: Are we at the wrong depth., Do you think we hit a small water vein? Is the jet pump too small?
Any comments are welcome.
thanks.
