i have to produce an estimate for a long list of repairs
needing to be done in the kitchen of a chain restaurant.
the only thing i cannot figure offhand is how to
dissapear several holes all over the place in the sanitary
paneling.
any suggestions will be, as always, appreciated.

...dissapear several holes all over the place in the sanitary

cover the sanitary paneling with new sanitary paneling -
seriously, I don't see how you patch holes and have it meet standards -
are we talking SS here?
I come at this more from a food handlers' perspective, perhaps someone will have a magic prescription - anytime there are naked edges and the possibility of contamination getting behind/between surfaces, you have defeated the purpose -
good luck -
the walls in this kitchen are the standard white sanitary paneling.
white, light texture. occassional 1 inch and smaller holes where stuff
used to be attached via wingnut, i suppose.
Replace the paneling.Had it been stainless, I would have suggested having patches welded in, smoothed and polished.
Hey, don't look at me, I'm mentally retireded.
Gee, I was gonna suggest plugging the holes with sanitary napkins.

can you add shelving, hangers or signage to "disapear" the holes ?Maybe that would be easier and more importantly more profitable.
this may just be the best idea. the majority of the holes are located
behind a hard plumbed drink station.
the sanitary surface you are talking about is FRP (fiber reinforced panels). NOrmally we just fill those holes with a food grade silicone caulk, color to match. You won't find that material at one of the box stores, you will need to find a speacilty house for it. I think resturaunt depot carries it if there is one in your area. I'm curious as to what other repairs are on the list. If this is a large chain you need to see where your checks are coming from & who is writing them. they can take a long time to get your money to you.
tgif, promised payment from richmond, va, within the month.
repairs involve replacing a lot of floor and curb tile, missing stainless
and plastic corners and trim and a loose wallhung sink in the employee
bathroom which was actually once glued to the frp.
White Lexel matches white FRP pretty well, not sure it would meet nsf or whatever but it beats silicone in any quality IMHO.
BUt does it have a food grade rating? depending on the jurisdiction that may be a requirement.
Checked their website and see no mention of food rating (that is why I said not sure about nsf or whatever). The msds says do not eat it. I guess silicone would say the same thing.
I would contact the mfr if interested.
