Can anyone refer me to a source for sash-weight pulleys? I’ve come back empty-handed from our local architectural salvage companies, and the only source I can find online is located in England.

where are you at in the world, in san francisco i can think of several places to find what you are looking for, ocean sash and door on 17th and south van ness is one, as far as internet i no of not one.
*Try Phelps or Architectural Resource Center, both of which have links at http://www.traditionalbuilding.comThey both definitely have pulley, but they are relatively expensive. There may be a few other places listed there for window hardware. If you only need a pair, you might want to try eBay at architectural hardware. Amazing what people are selling on eBay.SHG
*Anthony - I suggest that you call these folks if you can't turn up local salvage.Jeff
*Anthony, If your in or near western NY, check out Houseparts on 540 South Ave. Rochester, NY 14620 at http://www.historichouseparts.com and you can call toll free: 888-558-2329, they can ship to you. Or if you prefer, check out Horsefeathers on 346 Connecticut St. Buffalo, NY 14213 at http://www.horsefeathers-antiques.com and you can call at 716-882-1581. I have seen these sash pulleys at both locations, good luck.
*Anthony, Too late... I just junked about 30 pairs of sash pulleys and weights last week. Have you tried calling a local company that deals with replacement windows? Jon
*Try blainewindow.com.
*I have a wooden box full of them in the garage (came with the house). If in SE Michigan drop me a line.
*Anthony, Then again if you are in/around Garland, Texas check out: Nostalgic Warehouse, phone 1-800-522-7336 and their website is at: http://www.nostalgicwarehouse.com I did a search there and came up with only other links to similar stores throughout the southwest and even one in Spokane. Good luck.
*AnthonyWhen you do get some in don't oil or grease them. That will only make a mess and attract dust and grit that will eventually jam them up. Use teflon dry lube instead. You can find the stuff at most any bicycle shops.
