Some help if possible, please. I am looking for a gift for someone and he has lots of 10″ saw blades. I thought I had seen a storage “thing” for these somewhere and now I can’t remember where. I think it was like a CD storage bag or box with a number of slots or spaces to store different 10″ saw blades. It kept them separated so the teeth would not touch but allowed easy access for selection of different blades.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? It seems like there should be something like this out there or maybe I imagined it. Maybe I should invent and patent one if they don’t exist.
How do you store your blades? I usually hang mine on the wall and don’t bring any spares with me but it seems handy to have a selection with you on the job.
Thanks for the help.

Bosch has some nice ones out that are canvas and hold a few blades anyways. They sell them included with some blades, but my local tool store had them seperate as well for about $11 each.

That sounds good. I guess HD and Lowes are out as far as stocking any Bosch stuff.
Just as an aside - where can I purchase Bosch products in NY. I live on LI and we used to have Woodworkers Warehouse, but they are gone and nobody sells Bosch. I like to handle the tools before I buy so Amazon is always a bit of a gamble.
I will try to find the Bosch since my froo froo time is very limited w/ Christmas coming.
Thanks for the help.
CCI - Ace Tools in wantagh (on wantagh ave., between sunrise hgwy. and merrick rd.) sells bosch and almost everything else. Nice people, huge inventory, most repairs are done there, and great service.
I've been buying tools there for almost 20 years. Their # is 516-783-8899...Buic

I am in Nassau county right near the meadowbrook parkway so that is pretty convenient. Thanks for the info, I will call them today.
Where on LI are you?
In Suffolk, I would try Dymamite Tools in Hauppauge and Sunrise Tool in West Islip. Don't know for sure, but they are both pretty good shops.

Don - When I'm passing thru suffolk co. I use both of them as well, both first rate. At sunrise tools I've been going there since Joe's father owned the place and was up on deer park ave. Bought my first "real" power tools from him.

Home Depot sold one under the Husky name just like you described but it was for 7 1/4" or small blades.
There is the saw jaw for 10" blades, however it only holds one blade at a time
http://www.amazon.com
Duluth also sells one for blades up to 7 5/8"
http://www.duluthtrading.com
also plastic from rocker, again only 1 blade, but cheap enough

I have one from Duluth for up to 12" but they seem to have discontinued it. Don't know why, but they have discontinued alot of the bags/organizers they used to offer.Jim W.Coventry Woodworking
I knew duluth used to, I looked and no luck
I used to carry mine on a piece of plywood.
I cut cardboard spacers to go between the blades. You could probably do just as well stacking a couple washers between blades.

That would be a really ugly Cfhristmas present! Some plywood and cardboard and a few washers and bolts/nuts. I think he was looking for a froo froo blade holder.
He could make it out of mahogany, do some inlays, and use chrome or brass fasteners. Could be a great present, I want one.
You've never froo froo'd a piece of wood before ???=0)Start with a good piece of wood. Add some brass inlay. Good stain, finish. Etc. Make it like one of those thousand dollar scribes or angle tools.

Yeah that might be the ticket. I was picturing a out of square, warped piece of cdx with some leftover washers from an old set of truck shockabsorbers. Maybe some french polish on mahogany ply with curly maple banding....
ROFLMAOYou must be a mind reader. But I didn't mean he should copy MINE...;o)

Huh? You got one too? Does yours use old garden hose too?
