Hello. I have recently made a large screw-up I can’t make go away. I stripped a bunch of scalloped cedar shingles off a job this summer to chase a window leak. When I order these replacement shingles (white cedar scalloped, dipped in a cabot white latex primer) I measured in inches and to convert to feet. I screwed it up. I ended up with 8 square and only need one. They came in six weeks, I cannot return them. The lumber yard is thankfully letting me store them in original condition from the vendor, covered and unopened. I do carpentry/handyman work parttime up in NH, needless to say this has killed my profit for the summer. I have 27 boxes, 4 boxes to a square. I was wondering if anyone may be needing some of these in the future or at least know of an architect or builder who may have a use for these. Yes I’ve learned from my mistake, the lesson that keep on teaching. E-bay has gotten me nowhere, I figure these pro forums are the best way to get the word out. Anyone got any ideas?

yes i am currently trying to get through about 40 or so SQUARES of shake work in NEW BOSTON NH. all the gable tops are scallopped and this particular builder from Amherst NH always seems to have AT LEAST 1 crew installing shakes
where in nh are you/your shakes mabey i could help put you in touch
think they are shingles not shakes ?
Whats the difference
Shakes are hand (froe) split and have a rough surface, although the back may be resawn to make them lay better. Wood shingles are machine cut, both sides. It's a common mistake to call wood shingles "shakes", but they are different animals. If they are scalloped, they are shingles.http://grantlogan.net/

Hi. I live in Seabrook (home of the nuke plant, next town down from Hampton). My email is [email protected]. If he would like some or all of them I am certainly willing to give him a deal, as well as deliver them to him. I would sure appreciate the help. Thanks so much in advance. Marc.
