scheduling advice

user-118740 | Posted in Construction Techniques on August 25, 2006 09:55am

77797.1

In advance thanks for you help.

As for my previous post “KEEPING IT CLEAN” , it would be great to hear more about how other guys schedule. The job im on now is a large one so there is a lot of protection work, 9 bathrooms elevator blah blah bla blah blah, so is it best to do a coat of paint and then install mouldings or are dings and dents to many to handle with just one remaining coat. gypsum, floor, one coat, mouldings, cabinets, second coat and floor finish is that how you see it?

Thanks again

    Greetings COMP,

This post, in response to your question, will bump the thread through the 'recent discussion' listing again.

Perhaps it will catch someone's attention that can help you with advice.

    Cheers

The choice is up to you. It all depends on how clearly you would like to get a point across to others. Just pick one and stick to it.

No need for the attitude; you are not likely to receive much useful advice that way.

That's gonna get you real far here.

FWIW, this is a family; a family of brothers and sisters sharing knowledge and sometimes humor.

If you don't get the humor too bad on you, and if you gotta bring an attitude along with your lack of humor than you have little to learn and even less to offer.

You posted a bunch of jibberish (mostly) as you can tell by the # of thoughtful replies you received. You disappeared for a week then come back with both guns drawn.

Did you thank anyone for the info that they gave you?

I'm going to bed; you have fun with yourself.

A slight piece of advice:Don't ask us to take our time to give you advice and then attack a prolific poster. It takes our motivation away.Secondly, your first post was difficult to read. I don't think Eric or anyone else expects your grammar to be perfect (I hope not, otherwise I'm in trouble) but we need to understand what you're saying. A little explanation of exactly what you're trying to accomplish would go a long way. Now, I see that you've been here less than a month so I hope you realize the value that this forum has for you. I think you'll find that there are a lot of people who are quite willing to give their time to help you (Eric not discluded). Stick around, just don't try to use the spell check or search functions.

"gypsum, floor, one coat, mouldings, cabinets, second coat and floor finish is that how you see it?"

That is how we do it except that we put the floor in and first two coats of floor finish after the walls are painted. Also be prepared to spend whatever time is needed to get a good finish at the end of the job. That's what people will see no matter how you do it.
