Could some one offer some suggestion for some Scheduling soft wear I am basically computer illiterate. I have got the on and off figured out pretty good but this rat thing gives me fits at times. I came across something called shared plan pro has anyone tried this? <!—-><!—-> <!—->

soft wear?????
Dude, I'm not even sure what to say...
Seriously, I've been hacking on computers for 20 years and I still find that a set of two dry erase white boards work the best for me and especially for the guys. I run two months at a time with everyday of the week shown.
I've tried Project, Primavera (sp?), Build Links, UDA, etc and all were too complicated for the trades and suppliers. Plus I like to see everything at a glance without scrolling through the screen.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
Later...
ncbuilder,
By definition somehow the term you made (I’ve been hacking on computers for 20years) suggest you have extensive experience. I on the other hand am a hack on a computer. If there were laws forbidding hacks to operate a computer I would be in violation of the law.

Anyhow, I down loaded a trial version of sharedplan pro. I am looking for some soft wear that could be the boiler plate for my scheduling model. I have taken some courses in CPM scheduling and have seen all kinds of Gantt charts. I am looking for some HELP! As to what a computer illiterate individual such as me could purchase to assist in my goals to prepare project scheduling. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Tom:Maybe hacking wasn't the right word...that may have been slightly influenced by a little Wild Turkey Rare Breed relaxing moment...Anyway, I still stand by my opinion that white boards work best for me. How many jobs do you run at once? There is another thread about scheduling software (not soft wear) issue. It's herehttp://forums.taunton.com/tp-breaktime/messages?msg=57472.1
