My wife has decided to replace the deadbolt/entry knob set with one of those pushbutton setups on the entry doors at her CPA office. She did this because of the convenience of this new setup. And right away she is talking about doing the same thing here at home. I am not really interested in allowing this as I am very security concious and am a little suspect of these locks. Can anyone tell me if I have anything to be concerned about here? Are there any locksmiths out there who could comment on this topic? Anyone who might be knowledgable about this matter?
Me? I like steel security doors with double cylinder deadbolts. I am not to fond of some idiot gaining easy access to our home, and am aware of the increase in residential break-ins even while the residents are home and asleep. I look forward to reading what others have to say about this subject. Thank you for your assistance and knowledge.
