Hey everyone,
I want to post a “for sale” ad on the classified section and I need to know how to arrange the transfer of goods and funds so I don’t get screwed with someone not paying me. Also, I really don’t want to do the e-bay thing. Anyone have suggestions?BTW, I’d like to sell an Occidental tool belt and a Porter-Cable circ saw.
Thanks in advance.

What kind of occi belt? the builders rig, or a reg belt, and which PC saw, I may be interested in either or both?
Depending on the saw and what you want for it, I may also be interested.
CAG,
Havent you been spending enough on tools lately?? I think you are as bad or worse than me.
Its been a while and I only bought a sawzall case this week, actually two.
I saw it one on e-bay and put a max bid of 15. Two minutes later I see another for 10 bucks "buy it now" so I snatch it up and hope to loose the other auction.
Guess what.. I didnt now I have 2 cases for one saw, oh well....
I dont have the heart to screw the person over that I won the auction from so I'm stuck lol
You can have the saw if your intereted I have 2 pc's already and not sure I need another *G*View ImageGo Jayhawks..............Next Year
Got both of ya beat.
Put me in game.
Again M2, it's the left-hand PC 7 1/4 inch with case. The cord was cut off to a pigtail but it has barely been used. Less than a year old and still (to my knowledge) under warranty. I'd say $50 bucks and you pay shipping. I paid 119 +tax and again, nothing is wrong with the saw except the short cord and replacement plug.
I don't know if you're the type to use Ebay, but I would recommend a paypal account for the money transfer. It is fast and free (as far as I know, I've paid many people with it and never cost me a dime), and just a good thing to have. You can as someone to send you funds, and there's no lag time for checks to cash or stuff like that.

Can you send me a link to get there?

It's a right-hand 5080 DB Small...it's got two small pouches on the right and one on the left, and it's the all-leather. The saw is the left-hand 7 1/4 in with case; the cord was cut off to a "pigtail" but it's been barely used.
Oh well hoping it was a builders rig...
As to making sure you get paid, don't ship it until you either get a money order or cash. Though sending cash in the mail isn't a very good idea in and of itself
If the person comes up with a lame excuse and can't send either of the two their check probably wasn't good anyway, You could execpt a check but wait to ship until it clears.
Thats way most transactions go down on e-bay if the person does not have a paypal account.

Thanks..I appreciate the "other than PayPal" info. Just not sure if other party would accept those terms.
I don't think there's EVER any way to know for sure.
I've done this several times, though, and have only got burned once.
Sometimes ya just gotta take a chance...........
Credit cards? It amazes me that people can dig themselves into such a deep hole with such a little piece of plastic
