I was a Lowes today and saw that they had a new line of fittings that are similar to Sharkbites.

They will take coper, pex, or CPVC like sharkbites.
There are removable, but they work much different.
You need to use a wrench or pliers and unscrew the collar when the pipe goes through. They also sold replacement seals and gripping rings. Don’t know if you have to change them each time or not.
They are made in Italy.
They seemed to be about the same price as Sharkbites, but may be a little less. but did not have prices of Sharkbites to make a one on one comparison.
They also had small selection of an all copper fitting. The package said Copper fittings and PERMANATE. But they included a plastic insert and on the back it said to use the insert for PEX. No mention of CPVC.
It appears that after the seal and grippers are insert in the ennd of the fitting that the copper is rolled over them. And there is no way to release them.
.
A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
