I’m interested in any comments/experience folks may have on this type of JC (purple trim bucket). I’ve made extensive use of the two other varieties (reg and light/plus 3). I always use durabond with mesh for the seams, use all-purpose (green) for lev 2 and usually finish with the light (blue) for lev3 and beyond (any additional skimming). although I find the plus 3 easy to use for the final coats, it is too soft for my taste. Also, I was suprised to read some USG literature recommending the light stuff for taping, thought of it only as a topping compound.
I’ve been following/have read all the other posts on the EZ/Dino mix, will be playing with it on the next project, so no additional info on this needed. Only interested here on any informed opinion on this specific midweight product.
thanks

bump. anyone used this stuff?
Just stick with the green top, it's good for everything.
I used the lite when it first came out. It's good for taping and blocking, but no good for skimming or point-up.
The purple stuff is topping and is designed for skim-coating. It's just too much trouble having all those buckets for different applications, so I just use the green.
