Hi y’all
Brick basement, only half below grade, to sheetrock. Seems pretty dry in there, house probably 20-30 years old, brick already painted. Question is to vapour barrier over brick before furring strips or not? Thoughts or comments welcome.
Let’s not confuse the issue with facts!

the vapour barrier always goes on the warm side of an exterior wall.
so from the outside it would go......
brick, furring strips(for an air gap to let any moisture drain down the inside of the cold brick), insulation, vapour barrier, drywall
if you're not putting in insulation then don't put in a vapour barrier! yikes!
hope that's a help.
didn't ya read Andy E's basement article!
