Sheffield England Coping saw????
Anybody out there know where a guy might find a good coping saw?
Trimmer friend showed me his borrowed coper, his was stolen, and asked if they were stilll available anywhere. He admitted to crying the day it was stolen.
It says Eclipse on the top of the bow and also Sheffield England.
Thanks for any help
Jim

Shipping might be a little high since all those sites are in the U.K.. Try rlarson.com they have a really nice saw there. Have several myself.
Jim,
Highland Hardware carries those saws. I have ordered a couple. They are excellent; very rigid.

Thanks guys.
How do you convert those British prices into American?
The German saw at RLarson looks pretty similar to the Eclipse.
I'll pass on the good news next time I see him!

I've got both the Larson and Eclipse coping saws (thanks to Vanderpoochie's research). I'm not sure why, but the Eclipse is a just a little more comfortable, cuts just a little bit better, and seems to have less blade breakage than the Two Cherries.
Check out the Garret Wade catalog, they carry a saw with a major frame and somebody needs to review it for the rest of us<G> EliphIno!
