I’m building myself a workshop/storage building in the back yard, with a gambrel roof. How do I make the transition from the steep part to the flatter part with the shingles (just regular three-tab shingles)? The way it’s working out, if I just continue as though the corner weren’t there, the first row on the low-slope part will be hanging off about two inches. I know this is an elementary question, but when you don’t know, you have to ask.
