My pops has a new 60 gallon 5 HP upright he bought and never installed.
Thinking I may install it in my shop.
Whats the rule of thumb in order to get the moisture out of the airline prior to tools.
Is a dryer needed or would a drip line suffice?
I’m only running nail guns/ sanders, no paint sprayers.

water seperator immediately after the compressor's outlet...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
Like already mentioned, water separator at the outlet of the tank. There are self draining types that drain the cup automatically & peridically through the days use so you don't have to remember it.
Driers use desicants to absorb the water and really only needed if you're using a paint/finish sprayer and they should be a point of use install.
