I am interested in placing a floor covering down in my shop that doubles as my garage. It is a concrete floor which has some cracks and wear. I detest the idea of ripping out all the concrete and I am considering placing a covering on it. So far my research tends to support the idea of avoiding a epoxy floor due to peeling and any hydrostatic pressure lifting. I did come across several makers of sheet and snap panel floors that seem nice. Does anyone have any personal experience with this stuff in their garage/shop and does it hold saw dust, water, oil, stain, burn easy etc.?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
TES

Many of those panels are made of compressed wood fibres and glue so I'd be careful about hydrostatic pressure, but are you sure you have moisture coming through the floor.
Before doing anything, I'd lay a piece of poly 24 X 24 on the floor, wait two days and see if there is moisture under it. If there is, I'd get to the root of the problem first prior to placing anything over top.
A raised floor will increase comfort, and provide insulation, but you will lose a bit of headroom.
Instead of epoxy, you may wish to consider polyurethane (2 component only).
Hoping that helps
I got the epoxy from sherwin william on my floor. ever time I drop something it takes a hunk of epoxy with it. I do not recommend epoxy floor paints.
