I have a gravity fed stove oil heater in mw shop. It worked fine untill I had my oil tank filled last week. Now can,t get a decent flame it just soots and burns poorly. I,m not on a contract so I can,t get it serviced. Does anyone have an experience with this type of heater? It has a carburator on it with an adjustment for flow. Does this carburator need to be bled after it runs dry. Also there is some kink of control/lever on the side , which when held down seems to make stove burn better. I don’t have much experince with oil burners , al I know it’s starting to get cold out there. I was wondering it the tank was filled with furnace oil instead of stove oil and would this make any difference.
