Preface: I really know nothing about plumbing so forgive what maybe an obvious question.

My shower/bath faucet water pressure suddenly dropped. The sink faucet (on the same branch) was unaffected. A day or so passed and the pressure returned. Is there anything you all can advise me to do to avoid this problem returning?
Thanks, Mischa

Both hot and cold pressure? = mystery
Just one = some crud in the line blocking full flow
If it was bioth hot & cold, the aerator screen could have had crud trapped."Put your creed in your deed." Emerson

I've never seen a tub faucet with an aerator screen. And I've never seen an aerator screen clean itself.
Oops, missed the part about the bath faucet."Put your creed in your deed." Emerson

Seen this before...If your bath faucet is a Moen Posi-Temp, you've got a bad cartridge. Time for a replacement cartridge - about 35 bucks at Home Depot. If you can wait a while, call Moen and ask them to send you a new one. I think they have a lifetime warranty.
