I just completed a new bathroom on the third floor of a house. The space was tight so I agreed that the shower could be partailly located under the slant of the roof. Everything went smooth untill I thought about the shower rod. Any suggestions on mounting a shower rod on slanting tile?

well, you could ream the hole in the mounting flange oval, and cut the rod in your chopsaw to the angle you need, and it's done.
There was a slick job of a shower rod somewhere in FHB that was completely hidden in a wall, a tube inside a tube that pulled out to reach across the shower opening when needed. Got that?
The wall next to the shower opening had a hole drilled through the studs, like you would if you were running plumbing. That tube had some kind of linear bearing in it, and another tube telescoped out of it like a car antenna does. One piece, no multiple pieces like an antenna does. Looked pretty trick, but kinda difficult to put in now maybe.........

My father had the same problem in the downstairs shower. He made a block of oak angled to support the shower rod, screwed it to the wall and used spar varnish to cover the wood.
Not totally beautiful, but, on the inside and up high not noticeable.
Just a thought.
get a round metal door stop that screws to the wall, the industrial type, pull the rubber off and slide the pole in the hole. Other end use the clamp type rod holder
I would think you could get a good chrome shower rod (from a plumbing shop if you have to) and bend or find somebody to make a bend in it to a pattern you make (so it can go into the flange on the angled roof square with the flange.
With the right idea you might turn this into a nice accent thing.
that's what we did for the 1st 15 years... cutting the shower curtain is a pain... and the alum. pipe likes to crimp before it bends.....
finally i got smart and had my glass man make up this unit for the slant side....Mike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
If a wood block is objectional...how 'bout a chunk of lexan with the angled hole bored out?

yeah, but...
the curtain don't go all the way to the end of the tub if you do that......
so , you either need the closure piece, or a special rod that turns down the incline and a modified curtain to close it...Mike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
Ahhh......didn't complete the picture in my head! I see the angled block problem.

Mike,
THAT's an example of turning the problem into a nice accent. I like it.
